Our front-end design team have been busy implementing custom and unique functionality during recent website builds. As always, we strive to be consistently on top of new and emerging technologies.
Check out the exciting examples below, including responsive restaurant menus, slick “isotope” galleries, and split-screen scrolling.
Flemings Mayfair
Flemings Mayfair have recently undergone a £15m refurbishment. This refurbishment involved the redesign of 129 new bedrooms and the launch of Ormer Mayfair, a beautiful new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin. Because of this unique situation, the hotel was very keen for previous site visitors to immediately understand the property and brand changes. It was important to communicate to new visitors that they are a stand out, beautifully designed Mayfair property.
The new Flemings website successfully communicates this message. The artistic design of the hotel is brought to life through a predominantly image based site. Images, video and animated gifs were employed to tell the Flemings story and entice visitors to come and experience all it offers.
A full page video on the Ormer Restaurant’s Hompage evokes the source of their quality ingredients, while Flemings' gallery appealingly displays the hotel’s interiors using the isotope plugin, which has the added advantage of filtering and sorting the layout, resulting in a speedy load time.
Ovolo
The Ovolo group website design centred around a split screen scrolling feature on the individual hotel websites, creating a dynamic experience for the user.
Check out Ovolo Southside, for example, where snappy taglines and colourful imagery will catch your attention. While you’re there, have a look at the neighbourhood module that highlights the must-sees in the area to tempt potential guests even more.
In keeping with their trendy image, we delivered a sleekly styled social media centre that pulls in posts from LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. Easily flick between each feed to see what the Ovolo team have been up to at a glance. They look like they’ve been busy!
ME London
The Rooms page design for ME Hotel London included the addition of a new compare rooms feature. This allows the user to compare all the details of up to 3 hotel rooms at once which also includes an image gallery for each and is available on tablet and laptop/desktop devices.
The page also allows the user to filter by room types very quickly, without additional page loads, resulting in an enhanced user experience.
Benedicts
Benedicts of Belfast is a bustling centrally located boutique hotel with an enticing bar and restaurant offering casual dining. The multiple restaurant and bar menus were designed in a responsive accordion layout to demonstrate the quality and choice on offer. Simply click on your course of choice and see all the options available.
The hotel also benefits from a great location and the polished attractions module we designed highlights the attractions close-by in an interactive manner. Select a location near the hotel, find out more information and then map the route if you are interested in visiting the attraction.
Eneko Restaurant
Eneko Restaurant, at One Aldwych Hotel, now has a mouth-watering website to match their deliciously modern gastronomy brought to London from Northern Spain by Michelin-starred chef Eneko Atxa.
Recently featured in Tatler magazine, Eneko’s team offer innovative twists on Basque cuisine. Their beautifully presented dishes are savoured in comfortable contemporary surroundings with design touches from the Basque region. The pared back design of the website showcases the masterful dishes that are sure to tempt you.
